I am a high school theatre teacher and director in my seventh year in the classroom. As an actor/director/technician I have been involved with over 60 theatrical productions, beginning with my role as Squanto in my 3rd grade Thanksgiving play. I have been a stand-alone teacher in both the middle and high school levels, and have also taught as a technical director and currently as a primary director. I hold a BA in Theatre and alternatively certified into the teaching profession.
My passion is Theatre for Young Audiences and I believe strongly in exposing children to the arts at an early age. A large portion of my department’s community outreach centers around this area, and at least one production per year is in this genre. I am also passionate about college prep and securing scholarships and other opportunities for my students. I teach Theatre Arts I-IV and a course named Theatre Production, and am blessed to have a co-teacher who teaches Technical Theatre I-IV.
